Start with the approved procedure
Select the existing Active SOP. In the lift-inspection example shown here, the original says: “Inspect the lift before use.”
Turn a proposed process improvement into a reviewable draft. Keep the current source, proposed wording and approval decisions distinct at every step.
A foreman spots a missing handoff step. The company needs a way to revise the procedure, examine what changed and decide whether to adopt it, while the current approved version remains clear.
Select the existing Active SOP. In the lift-inspection example shown here, the original says: “Inspect the lift before use.”
The Owner asks: “Change inspection timing to before each shift; preserve every other requirement.” Then refines it: “Also record inspection.”
Jovra prepares the revised procedure. Refine it in conversation, or leave and return to the saved draft before continuing.
Read the complete proposal, inspect added and removed wording, and open the exact original source alongside it.
Explicitly confirm your review, then submit a new Library source. When processing is complete, Ready means the source is available—not that it is approved policy.
The existing Active SOP stays in force through drafting and Library submission. Replacing it requires the separate SOP review and explicit Owner activation confirmation.
For an Active SOP with a prepared playbook, Guided SOPs present the ordered steps and let users record progress or blockers. Keep the active procedure at hand while the work is carried out; completion is not a substitute for required review or approval.
